Cree Lady-(J. Hedgecock-2004)-Sdlg.
F-69-M-TB-33"-L- We ran a contest in the garden last spring and asked our
customers to help us name this iris. Virginia Golden of Dearborn,
Missouri suggested the name Cree Lady. Our new Indian lady has lightly
laced and ruffled medium purple standards with beige highlights at the upper
edges. Falls are ruffled, laced and fluted creamy beige with purple
markings at the beards. The beards are purple with yellow tips and
turn yellow in the throat. Style arms match the falls. Mild
sweet fragrance. A very unusual reverse bicolor that we feel has real
charm. Agape Love X Unknown. $10.00 |

Eliminator-(J. Hedgecock-2004)-Sdlg.
H-64-1-TB-34"-EM- At last we have enough stock to introduce this unique new
iris. To our knowledge, Eliminator is the first broken color iris in
commerce with broken color flounces also. The basic color is varying
shades of purple with irregular splashes and streaks of white. No two
flowers are alike. Add to this the fact that it carries flounces that
are also purple and white splashed. Stalks have 8 to 9 buds that are
well spaced. Mild pleasant fragrance. A strong grower with
generous increase. If you like the broken color irises, this one is a
must have. Ensminger Seedling 86-17-1: (Purple Streaker X Go Around) X
83-68-1: (Mary O Mahoney X Going My Way). $10.00 |

Linda Darnell-(J. Hedgecock-2004)-Sdlg.
JM-85-Unk-2-TB-34"-M- Lamoyne's sister's namesake is we think one of the
best dark irises we have produced to date. The exquisite heavily laced
and ruffled florets are stunning to see. The standards are dark blue.
Falls are dark velour purplish blue with some blue striations at the gold
beards that have blue bases. The falls also have a blue stripe that
runs from the beards to the 3/4" blue marginal band. Pronounced sweet
fragrance. This one just spells stardom. Parentage unknown.

Manitou Skies-(J. Hedgecock-2004)-Sdlg.
B-23-A-TB-37"-M- This beautiful space age iris placed 4th at the Loomis Test
Gardens in Colorado Springs in 2002. Since it was so close to Manitou
Springs and we liked the name Manitou, which means Great Spirit, we added
skies and the rest is history. Our new creation is heavily ruffled
violet blue with lighter areas at the beards. The falls are flaring
and have slight tan areas near the gold beards that end in 1/2" blue violet
horns. Mild sweet fragrance. Excellent stalks with 6 to 7 buds.
Blue Luster X Sky Hooks. $10.00 |

Perfect Storm-(J. Hedgecock-2004)-Sdlg.
F-33-1-TB-35"-M- We loved this name and you will love our new dark purple
creation. The color is plush dark purple with just a slight paling of
the coloration at the dark purple beards. Wide modern form and stalks
that carry 7 to 8 buds. Hearty, robust foliage that has near black
leaf bases, which is a very attractive landscape plus. Sweet mild
fragrance. The Perfect Storm has arrived. Beware. Dusky
Challenger X Midnight Serenade. $10.00 |

Plaza Lights-(J. Hedgecock-2004)-Sdlg.
J.M.-96-TB-2-TB-32"-M- Our close friend Jim Emmons suggested the name for
this iris. The Plaza in Kansas City is known all over the US for the
upscale shopping district and the beautiful Christmas lighting season.
This subtle yellow blend suits the name to a tee. The ruffled
standards are butter yellow. Falls are laced and ruffled butter yellow
with large white blazes at the yellow orange beards. Beards sometimes
have short 1/2" horns. Mild sweet fragrance. This one will be a
favorite in our yellow lines. Lost parentage. $10.00 |

Pretty Perfect-(J. Hedgecock-2004)-Sdlg.
G-47-1-TB-36"-M- We were really surprised when we looked up the parentage on
this one. Lamoyne just hasn't done a lot of hybridizing. Her
latest child is heavily laced and ruffled peach pink with lighter areas at
the orange red beards. Perfect stalks with 8 buds. It does
appear to be Pretty Perfect. Mayberry 84-4-5 X Tina Marie.
