Comanche Winter-(Jim
Hedgecock-2003)-Sdlg. F-69-W-TB-34"-M - There are a lot of good white
irises already on the market, but our customers have been going tothis
seedling wanting us to introduce it. When we entered it in the
Pony Express Iris Society show this spring and got best seedling in
show, we decided to put it on the market. The wide pure white
florets have just a touch of yellow at the hafts. Form is heavily
ruffled with superb substance. Beards are white with yellow tips.

eight. Mild sweet fragrance. Agape Love X Unknown.

Crop Circles-(Jim Hedgecock-2003)-Sdlg. 84-97-1-TB-33"-M - Are they real
or a hoax? You decide that question. We decided to have a little fun
and have our own Crop Circles. Our new plicata just seems to be one of
those irises that just grows well any where it is placed. The ruffled
standards are dark purple with just a hint of white at the midribs. The
heavily ruffled falls are white with a wide dark purple stitched and dotted
border and purple stripe from beards to edges of falls. Wide ruffled form
throughout. Purple beards. Very good bud count and stalks.
Mild sweet fragrance. Michigan Pride X Unknown.
$7.50
Seven Thunders-(Jim
Hedgecock-2003)-Sdlg. G-64-1-TB-32"-ML - Jim heard this term used in
some American Indian literature, possibly a book. We love the
name. Our Seven Thunders is again one of our superb new garden
irises that just can't stop producing excellent plants and flowers.
The ruffled standards are red-black. The ruffled and fluted falls
are black-purple with white striations at the burnt brown beards.
Very healthy foliage. Show stalks with a bud count of eight.
Pronounced sweet fragrance. Mayberry 80-7-H, Unknown X 83-25-1:
(Space Dragon X Tuxedo).
